hi
photography, photography, photography, thats nearly all i think about.
this site is here just as a simple way to show off some of my work. if you have the time please send me an email to let me know what you think about the site, the photos, the subject or anything really would be nice to know that someone has had a look, its free and it would make my day.
subjects
- birds are my favorite subject, i think photographing them is similar to playing golf, most of the time its pretty frustrating then all of a sudden you get a shot you are happy with. if you photograph birds and have ever played golf maybe you will understand what i mean
- people never cease to amaze me, i like staring into peoples eyes with my camara and to imagine im looking inside.
- landscapes, i’m a big fan cityscapes and abstract architecture also wild countryside and the sea. i much prefer to be outdoors.
- abstract, my attempt at some art
- animals, we as humans are generally so cruel to animals, many people who say they love animals including me, eat chicken, beef, pork products, etc. where the animal has lead an atrocious existence, for it cannot be called a life to live your few months with tube stuffed down your throat, force feeding you to be quicker and cheaper to the supermarket shelf or huddled up in a shed being milked 24/7. in general i only photograph wild animals and wild birds although there is an image of a flock of sheep and a dog on here, we need to get back in touch with where our food comes from and start to give animals the space and respect they deserve.
about the design
i hope you like the design of this website, i wanted something plain and simple, thats how i like it.
a little about me
born in '73 and ever since i can remember i have been interested in taking pictures, when i was small i tried time lapse photography with my dads cine-camera as you can most probably imagine the results were far from great, i was a reluctant convert to digital as i still love the magic of developing a b & w print and seeing the image slowly jump out of the liquid right in front of your eyes; now i realise there is now other way. i have thousands of images on film but tens of thousands of digital images, the only regret is when i’m gone my kids or grandkids won't find my best work in the attic all covered in dust, maybe they will find a cd or a dvd or even a usb hard drive but they wont know what to do with it.
